I feel like such a disappointment to everyone. So I offer this polaroid (yes, I splurged on polaroid film to cheer myself up) of these amazing seabirds we found by the sea..
Thank goodness for the sea-- it is always there, offering such solace with its sweet smelling air that fills the soul.

I would love to see little lines pressed into the film as it was drying, connecting bird with shadow, as if they were all dragging their hesitant shadows along the ground behind them. Although I assume with the sun as it is the shadows probably raced along pretty willingly. I guess I've gotten used to the grad-school schedule of only being outside in the wee hours, when the shadows really just linger.
